Key Populations

Most of my work focuses on research among key populations at higher risk of HIV and at higher risk of Tuberculosis (TB).

The populations most vulnerable to HIV exposure are people who inject drugs (PWID), men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender persons (TG) and female sex workers (FSW) and their clients.
The list key populations most vulnerable to TB exposure are broader and more country specific. They may include:
children, miners, mobile populations, urban populations, prisoners, rural populations and people who use drugs (PWUD).
